Take your place

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more.

Never underestimate the power of one life.

When Julie McGhee decided to pack her violin on a trip to Liberia in 2016, all she wanted was for the children to hear a stringed instrument for the first time.

Little did Julie know, one instrument was the beginning of a music movement in Liberia.

Since November 2018, dozens and dozens of students have discovered the joy of playing a stringed instrument in the Liberian Youth Orchestra (LYO).

LYO students have also been invited to play at national events.

This includes the dedication of the Ministerial Complex and the celebration of the Independence of Liberia.

Would you help us give the gift of stringed music to more Liberian students?
